Arsenal CU gives back to the community in a big way

Family helps family, plain and simple. When it comes to our community, Arsenal Credit Union takes proactivity very seriously. Each day, we recognize that St. Louis is where we live, our members are who we serve, and our members are why we’ve existed for 67 years and counting. Because this community helps to sustain us, it only seems proper that Arsenal gives back at every possible opportunity. Last year, our staff contributed 905 hours of volunteer services within the St. Louis area to the following causes:

  • Made 3,716 sack lunches for homeless people at the St. Patrick Center in downtown St. Louis
Worked at the Arnold Food Pantry, Feed My People’s thrift store in Lemay and the St. Louis Area Food Bank in Bridgeton
  • Held a school supply drive and a backpack food drive that led to 1,136 school supply items and 1,000 food items being donated to schools and a food pantry
  • Held a “Warm Up Winter” drive in which 229 hats, mittens and gloves were collected and donated to food pantries and schools
  • Held a toy drive that resulted in 157 toys being donated to the U.S. Marine Corps and food pantries for distribution
  • Gave 79 financial education presentations to 1,326 students at elementary, middle and high schools
  • Awarded $4,200 in college scholarships
  • Held free paper shredding and electronics recycling events, which kept 35,118 pounds of paper and 52,446 pounds of electronics from landfills
