Arsenal’s environment-friendly events this spring have officially come to an end. The collected results have been tallied, and together, you have helped your credit union shred 18,940 pounds of paper and recycle 9,415 pounds of electronics. That means in merely 12 hours, spanning the month of April at most of our area branches, we have kept 28,355 pounds, or 14.18 tons, out of our local landfills. That’s more than the combined weight of two African elephants, the heaviest mammal in the world! To see how your individual branch faired, see the chart below. Thank you to all who participated last month, and a special thanks to American Document Destruction and RNA Worldwide for making it all happen! More paper shredding events will be held this fall; electronics recycling events return next year, likely in May or June.
