Youth members at Arsenal sock away almost $310,000 in April

Chrome Piggy Bank with Dollar SignsArsenal was one of 235 credit unions in the country that participated in this year’s National Youth Saving Challenge, which ran concurrently with Credit Union Youth Month in April. During the month, youth at Arsenal collectively saved $309,976.85, or $191.34 per youngster, which was slightly higher than the national average ($187).

Nationwide, 8,420 new youth accounts were opened in credit unions, including 29 at Arsenal. Seven members at Arsenal randomly won prizes from the credit union as part of the month-long effort – Tully S. (age 17), Hunter E. (age 12), Han L. (age 3), Jason D. (age 2), Kylie E. (11 months old), Myles W. (8.5 months old) and Lillian F. (1.5 months old). All youth who made deposits into their Arsenal accounts were automatically entered into the drawings.
