A graduate trying to remove some saved money from her piggy bank. Isolated on white.Since 1997, Arsenal Credit Union has offered local high school seniors the opportunity to earn a scholarship from their favorite financial institution. So far, we have distributed a total of $59,050 to 67 exemplary young men and women. This year, we will continue this tradition and award up to a total of $5,400.

To be eligible for the competition, the student must have been a member of Arsenal since at least February 16 of this year, be on track to graduate from high school next spring, and plan on continuing his or her education next fall at a college, trade or technical school. Applicants will be judged on the following criteria: school/community involvement, grades, a formal essay and answers provided on the official application.

Winners will be announced and presented with their scholarships at our annual meeting in April 2016. They will also be featured in the summer edition of Member’s Edge. Applications are available at any of our branches or on our website at in two different spots – you can go to “Online Applications” at the top of our homepage, or you can click on “Scholarship Program” in the drop-down menu under the “About Us” button in the main navigation bar on our homepage.

All materials must be submitted by Tuesday, February 16, 2016. Content turned in after this date will not be taken into consideration. Thank you, and good luck!
