What do you and 200 million other people have in common?

What do you and 200 million other people have in commonAnswer: Credit union membership. As a member/owner of a credit union, you are part of a worldwide movement. Overall, 56,000 credit unions exist in 105 countries!

We are happy to have you in the Arsenal Credit Union family, which now numbers more than 26,000 people and continues to grow every day. Consider that we only had eight members when we were founded in August 1948. That same year and ever since, on the third Thursday of October, we and all other credit unions have celebrated a simple but radical idea – that by working together, people can improve their financial well-being.

“People helping people,” this year’s International Credit Union (ICU) Day theme, has been the foundational philosophy of the credit union movement since the beginning. We look forward to celebrating ICU Day with you on October 15.

At its most basic level, a credit union is people pooling their money to provide each other with affordable loans. This simple idea empowers people, wherever they are in the world or in life, to take control of their own financial futures.

The benefits of doing business with not-for-profit credit unions over for-profit banks have long been touted and chronicled.

Smart consumers choose credit unions, and we are thankful you have chosen Arsenal as your financial partner in life.
