Arsenal Credit Union receives national recognition for its efforts during America Saves Week

America Saves Designation Image.jpgArsenal was one of 19 credit unions and 15 banks in the country to receive the “Designation of Savings Excellence” from America Saves on May 18 at a national forum in Washington, D.C.

The designation recognizes credit unions that go above and beyond to encourage people to save money and build wealth during America Saves Week. This year it was February 22-27. A selection committee comprised of credit union and America Saves leaders met in early April to review applications and select those to receive recognition.

Nationwide, 153 credit unions participated in America Saves Week this year. Others participating are academic institutions, banks, bloggers, businesses/corporations, cooperative extensions, financial services organizations, for-profit businesses, government agencies, industry associations/trade groups, local America Saves campaigns, media and nonprofits. America Saves Week started in 2007 and is coordinated by America Saves and the American Savings Education Council.
