Arsenal gives back to the community

Arsenal’s involvement with local schools goes beyond financial education. Back-to-school supply drives in late summer at Arsenal branches are commonplace.

Employees and members once again responded favorably to our most recent effort, as we collected nearly 900 items, including 100+ backpacks. The items were donated to elementary schools located near our branches in Arnold, Oakville, Webster Groves, Florissant and Swansea for distribution to students in need. The Homeless Youth Initiative (HYI) in Jefferson County also benefitted.

In late July and early August, Arsenal participated in back-to-school events for low-income families in Hillsboro and Belleville. Among the items that the credit union distributed during these events was literature to help parents teach their children about money. The credit union’s youth savings mascot, Tracker, was also on hand to entertain the crowds at these events.
