Do you have knowledge, skills and experience that would benefit your credit union and fellow members? If so, we have an immediate opening for you on our supervisory committee.
The core of the credit union ideology thrives on people – your compassion, your drive, your thirst for the very best things in life – these are what make you and your credit union great. And with your help, we can be even better.
What is the role of the supervisory committee?
Supervisory committee members operate independently of the board of directors and staff to ensure that the credit union manages its assets and conducts operations in a safe and fiscally responsible manner. This includes making certain that all regulations, procedures and policies governing Arsenal are followed.
Who are we looking for?
Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, auditing or finance is helpful, but not required. If you have a different work background (management, law, etc.), it may still be applicable for this role, as you can acquire the special knowledge and skills to do a credible job if you have a genuine interest in acquiring them. Being detail oriented, remaining objective and acting in an independent manner is key to fulfilling the duties of a supervisory committee member.
To be eligible for this non-paid position, you must be listed as the primary member on your Arsenal savings account, have at least one other product relationship (checking, money market, CD, IRA, loan, online bill pay or direct deposit) with us and be in good standing. If you are interested in serving as a volunteer, you must be able to meet attendance and training requirements.
