Arsenal collects 176 items for local animal shelters

Thanks to staff and members, Arsenal collected 176 items to donate to two local animal shelters. Items collected included food, treats, bowls, collars, toys, beds, cleaning supplies and paper towels. This was the third year Arsenal held this pet-supply drive.

The two local animal shelters that received the items are:

Open Door Animal Sanctuary, founded in 1975, is the largest no-kill sanctuary in the greater St. Louis area and the state of Missouri. Open Door’s mission is to provide homeless cats and dogs with the highest quality of life and a second chance to find a forever family. They serve the community by taking in stray, abused, neglected and otherwise unwanted cats and dogs and placing them up for adoption. Each day they provide shelter, food, medical care and LOVE to over 400 animals.

The Belleville Area Humane Society is a limited admission shelter, which means it intakes adoptable animals and never euthanizes for shelter space.
